what is the best internet connection speed for console gaming?

ok i have the 3 main console systems (360, ps3 and wii) and i was wondering what is the best internet connection speed for online console gaming? i believe right now i have the 7Mbps, and the service i have i can go up to 12Mbps and even 20Mbps
