I have 2 telephone lines. Can i connect one to a router and the other my gaming console?

Hey thanks in advance, my problem here is that my router is in another part of my house and its quite impossible to extend the cables to where my ps3 would be. I’m wondering what are the implications if i use this network setup because i always thought all networking devices must be connected through the router (if there is one).

   For the ps3 should be connected to modem to modem to get access to the setup that you try adding wireless connection in.
   The setup that you want will work why dont you want will work why dont you try adding wireless connection in your network.
